We recently asked our customer community about their feelings towards us building new homes. 92.5% of the people who responded agreed that it is important to them that B3Living builds new homes. This reinforced our current strategy and supported our plans to build 400 new homes this year and will continue to seek new opportunities. But what is most important to our customers?

- The survey showed that customers would like to see homes built in a mix of areas as well as a mix of types of home.
- Inside the house, the highest priority for our customers was spacious rooms followed by energy efficiency/running costs and kitchen size. The least critical feature among those surveyed was storage space. This suggests that while open, spacious rooms are key, sustainability and kitchen functionality are also valued.
- Alongside this, the survey also showed that a carbon neutral approach is ‘fairly important’ and what matters most to people when reducing our carbon footprint is the lower energy bills.
We did...
- This falls in line with our current development strategy to build a range of dwelling types in a mix of sustainable locations to meet the local housing needs.
- We build our homes to national space standards from key parts of the house. We will look to prioritise room and kitchen sizes where we can in the future.
- All our new homes are aiming to be energy rated B to lower costs of running the home and be more environmentally friendly. As well as this B3Living will increase education around heating and running healthy and efficient homes.
