Affordable three-bed houses replace the former Limes Nursery

We’ve opened four new affordable family homes at Blossom Gardens in Cheshunt, marking the latest phase of our wider 26‑home development.

Built on a former garden centre, the development has transformed land once occupied by glasshouses and industrial buildings into a safe, modern and sustainable community. The wider scheme includes a mix of affordable rent homes and shared ownership properties, helping meet a range of local housing needs.

The newly completed threebedroom homes are available through our shared ownership scheme, with prices for a 30% share ranging from £166,000 to £172,500. The part-buy, part-rent scheme offers a more accessible route into home ownership in an area where average house prices exceed £500,000.

Designed with families in mind, the homes offer spacious layouts, private outdoor space and a range of energy‑efficient features, including air source heat pumps, electric vehicle charging points and a predicted EPC rating of B.

The scheme was developed in partnership with Broxbourne Council, responding to significant demand for family housing in the borough with waiting lists reaching over 23 years.

Our Executive Director (Development), Jon Hayden said:

We’re pleased to continue our partnership with Broxbourne Council through the delivery of these new homes at the former Limes Nursery.

These properties have been designed to support modern family living, while also helping customers take their first step onto the housing ladder through shared ownership.
Cabinet Member for Community and Housing, Cllr Dee Hart, said:
I’m delighted to see these new homes at Blossom Gardens completed, providing high‑quality family housing for our residents.

Developments like this play an important role in meeting local need and creating sustainable communities for the future.
