XL Bully ban

Do you own an XL Bully?

Wednesday, 28 February 2024

We always want to create a safe and comfortable environment for all our customers, and that includes your furry friends!

As you may be aware, the UK Government recently banned XL Bully dogs. This means you will need a Certificate of Exemption by law to keep your pet.

So, how will the new regulations affect our team visits to your home...

If you own an XL Bully dog and are expecting a visit from our team, here's what you need to know:

  • Inform us beforehand: When scheduling a visit, please let us know you have an XL Bully dog. This allows us to take precautions for the safety and wellbeing of both our team members and your beloved pet.
  • Prepare your dog: If possible, please keep your XL Bully in a separate room or muzzle and keep them securely on a lead during our visit. This creates a calmer environment and ensures the safety of all parties involved.
  • Have your paperwork ready: If you hold a valid Certificate of Exemption for your XL Bully dog, please have it readily available to show our team when they arrive.
  • Open communication: We encourage open discussion. If you have any concerns or questions about our visit, please don't hesitate to reach out to us in advance.

We know your pet is your family and understand that not all XL Bully dogs pose a risk. However, the recent regulations require us to take precautions for the safety of both our team members and your pet. We want to create a smooth and positive experience for everyone during property visits.

If you haven’t yet seen the full details of the XL Bully dog ban and regulations, you can find it on the UK Government website here.
