We've been awarded LGBTQ+ Housing Pledge Pioneer status for our commitment to creating an inclusive and safe environment for LGBTQ+ customers.
Delivered by Stonewall Housing, the LGBTQ+ Housing Pledge is a robust framework for social housing providers to showcase their commitment to LGBTQ+ inclusion.
We are very proud that our commitment to inclusive housing has been recognised with Pledge Pioneer status. Ensuring our LGBTQ+ customers feel seen and supported in their homes is core to B3Living’s work to create better futures.
Our teams work hard to ensure our homes are a safe place for our LGBTQ+ customers. We developed policies to promote LGBTQ+ inclusion, provided in-person training for our colleagues, and named multiple senior staff champions.
We also established a customer advisory panel which will help guide our equity, diversion and inclusion activities.
A range of colleagues from across B3Living attended the celebration event to show their support and commitment to embedding our LGBTQ+ inclusion work in their respective teams.
Though we celebrate this achievement, our work doesn't end here; our aim is to continue improving our services to make them as inclusive as they can be.
Over the next year, we will work towards expanding our customer engagement around LGBTQ+ inclusion and intersectionality to make sure our approach to supporting LGBTQ+ customers extends to other protected characteristics they may have.
