Our Hoddesdon Community Day

Our Hoddesdon Community Day

Monday, 18 August 2025

Our annual community day took place at the Pound Close Recreation Ground in Hoddesdon on Thursday 14 August.

From face painting to a balloon artist to an exotic reptile exhibit, the day was filled with activities for local families.

The event provided free entertainment for children and brought together a range of community organisations to offer advice and support for local parents and individuals.

Some of these included the Better Health Bus, a mobile health unit provided by the Hertfordshire County Council, and Broxbourne BEST, a waste management company by the Borough of Broxbourne Council.

Other services offered included financial and community support by the Money Advice Unit and CHEXS, among many other local organisations present.

The community day provided an opportunity for residents to learn about services they could benefit from near their home.

It also created a space for them to meet and raise any concerns with Broxbourne MP, Lewis Cocking, and Mayor Patsy Spears.

Commenting on the turnout of the event, B3Living’s CEO, Steve Woodcock, said:

“As a local business, our annual community day is an uplifting time of the year for B3Living.

“It’s great to see so many of our partners and residents come together for a cheerful day out in the community.

“There’s no substitute for having in-person conversations with people. Holding events like this helps us connect face to face with our customers in Hoddesdon and continue to foster our relationships with other local support organisations in the area.”
