We know things can be tough money wise, especially at the moment with rising living costs.
It's important for you to know that there's lots of support and advice out there. Talking about money isn't the easiest, but it really could help save you long-term stress and anxiety. We've put together some resources and information that might be useful over the Summer and beyond.
Crisis Resilience Fund
The Household Support Fund has now been replaced by the Crisis and Resilience Fund. There have recently been some changes to government support available. The fund is there for anyone vulnerable or struggling to pay for essentials like food, bills and housing costs in England.
Citizens Advice
Citizens Advice also have lots of helpful content - from support with the cost of living to help with council tax to support with budgeting.
Food aid and support
If you are in need of emergency food or practical support, Trussel and local foodbanks can help.
School Summer Holidays
With the school Summer holidays fast approaching, we understand this time can sometimes be costly. There is some additional support available to lower income families through the holiday activities and food (HAF) programme. It aims to help eligible children eat more healthily, be more active and not feel socially isolated during the break. You can find more information through your local council.
Throughout August, children between 5-15 years old can also get free bus travel on participating bus operators. Find out more.
Turn2Us
Turn2Us is a really helpful resource for information and practical support for anyone struggling with money. They offer lots of advice around benefits and support that may be available to you.
