Plogging

Timeline for the morning

10.00am - B3Living team meet and set-up at the former Holdbrook Hub

10.30am - B3Living brief to all team members and customers joining us. This will cover health & safety, what not to pick up and who to report it to. We'll be split into teams with areas to cover. Customers will be given high-vis vests, and we'll all have litter pickers and bags. You'll be able to spot B3Living staff because we'll be wearing B3Living t-shirts.

11.00am - Set off in teams to help clear our community.

12.00pm - All teams return to starting point. While we weight the collected rubbish, you can grab a tea or coffee, and catch up with your neighbours.

12.30pm - We'll let you know how much rubbish has been collected to finish the morning.

What is plogging?

Plogging is a simple way to help your local area while keeping active. It involves picking up litter while walking, jogging or running.

It started in Sweden in 2016 and has since grown into a worldwide movement, with millions of people taking part.

Plogging helps keep neighbourhoods clean, reduces pollution and protects wildlife. It's also a great way to get some exercise, meet other people and take pride in your community. Together, we can make a real difference to the places where we live.
