Our contractor Oakleaf will be starting a new round of type 1 Fire Risk Assessments across our blocks in communal areas.
A Type 1 Fire Risk Assessment is designed to survey certain areas of a building’s makeup. This mainly includes communal areas.
The main reason for these assessments is to ensure all common parts of a building are ‘fire safe’.
Oakleaf is an independent specialist company who have been hired by B3Living to carry out fire risk assessments. Oakleaf is accredited under the BAFE SP205 scheme, which is UKAS accredited.
Inspectors will carry ID and a letter of authority from B3Living. They are carrying out Fire risk assessments to the common areas of the blocks including outside and a selection of entrance doors/lobbies.
